The cast bars have a classic square cast bar design. Cast gold bars have the advantage over minted bars that the surface is less susceptible to scratches. A gold bar produced by the casting process can safely be held in the hand to feel the high specific weight of 99.99% pure gold, without worrying about damaging the bar or leaving fingerprints. Cast bars inherently have rounded edges and tiny solidification lines due to the manufacturing process. This makes every Au bar a unique piece.
