Limoges enamel on an 18-karat gold surface with a hallmark on the underside: 750
This enameled Limoges brooch with a safety clasp features a hand-painted depiction of a twig with a red rose, set against a royal blue (cobalt blue) background.
This very refined brooch is framed by detailed filigree work, also in 18-karat gold.
In this frame are set 6 small, but very bright, rubies.
French work from around 1900 from the Art Nouveau period (1890 to 1914).
In very good antique condition. Signs of wear are minimal and appropriate for the age.
