Stefano Nurra - Golf-eeng Tour II

In this first composition, the structure of the field is visually deconstructed. Blocks of deep green color, laid with broad, textured spatulas that evoke clumps of grass, are irregularly distributed on a black, opaque background, almost suggesting a parcelled aerial view or an incomplete path. At the top, a white-and-red checkered flag stands as a focal point, an immediate iconographic reference to the world of golf. At the bottom, the stylized figure of a golfer standing, rendered with minimalist yet recognizable strokes, is placed inside a green block, creating a dialogue between the symbol and the action, between the stillness of the landscape and human dynamism. The surface of the canvas becomes a chromatic and tactile battlefield, where relief painting defines boundaries and visual territories.
