Frontispiece entirely engraved depicting an angel holding a cross with a staircase and a column behind him; on the table one can see dice, a hammer, pliers, a glove, and other objects. Pages 230 inclusive of the index. Initial capitals and other typographic ornaments. Some moisture stains visible in the photo. Full parchment binding contemporary with inked titles on the spine: remnants of old ties, the back plate bears a small loss at the corner but the text is complete and usable. An original and distinctive book.

Giulio Strozzi (1583-1652) was an Italian poet and librettist active in Venice in the first half of the seventeenth century.
