Description of the work:
This captivating square-format work (60x60 cm) is a masterful and playful reinterpretation of Vincent van Gogh's masterpiece, 'Starry Night'. The artist depicts two cats, seen from behind, sitting side by side on a hill of golden grasses. One is a deep black, the other a vibrant orange, both gazing fixedly at a spectacular nocturnal landscape.

In the foreground, an open wooden window frame on the right anchors the scene in an intimate interior, suggesting that these felines observe the world from the safety of their home. Beyond, a dark city with Gothic and fortified architectures unfolds, illuminated by a few isolated windows. The sky is an explosion of swirling and energetic brushstrokes typical of post-impressionism, where a huge moon and twinkling stars dominate a deep blue firmament. Le Yack perfectly captures the vibrant and melancholic essence of Van Gogh while introducing a contemporary narrative touch with the presence of the two felines, creating a bridge between classical art and modern sensibility.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is a artistic director in publishing and web. Instagram @leyack45. He is represented in a network of around forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, United States.
Inspired by classical and modern painting, Le Yack brings a contemporary perspective to his creations by incorporating iconic elements of pop and urban culture. His works are characterized by vivid colors, dynamic shapes, and expressive compositions.
The artist also explores different forms of artistic production. Some of his works are produced in series on canvas-stretched supports, creating limited editions accessible to a wider audience. Other works are realized as unique paintings on canvas, adding an exclusive and authentic dimension to his collection.
