Medsan's 40 × 40 cm giclée on canvas Scooter Miko (スクーター巫女) - Hand Signed, from an edition of 1, created in 2026 in a Pop Art style with a Culture Pop theme.
Description from the seller
With this square-format work, Medsan offers a new visual exploration where spiritual Japanese folklore meets modern urban mobility. This giclée centers on a female figure dressed in the traditional miko attire (young shrine maidens in service of Shinto shrines), pairing the classic red hakama and white kimono, subtly adorned here with crane and cloud motifs.
The contrast, a signature of the artist, is expressed through the integration of contemporary mechanical elements reinterpreted through the lens of traditional craftsmanship. The protagonist rides a scooter whose bodywork appears entirely carved in wood, embellished with engravings, kanji, and a luminescent bird emblem. This anachronistic attention to detail extends to her full-face helmet, also textured like precious wood and crowned with a crescent-moon ornament (datemono) reminiscent of samurai helmets. Stylized wisps of smoke, typical of ukiyo-e prints, escape from the vehicle, reinforcing the sense of movement.
The impact of the composition is enhanced by the use of a solid mint green background, which brings out the warmth of the wood tones and the vivid red of the outfit. The clear, precise linework pays homage to Japanese printmaking technique, while firmly situating itself within a Pop Art approach. The vertical cartouche in the upper right corner, containing the signature "Medsan" in katakana (メドサン), completes the balance of the piece.
A captivating and masterful work, ideal for collectors who appreciate bold intersections between spirituality, tradition and industrial design, imparting a distinctive touch to interior decoration.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Installed like a real artistic production space, the studio operates both in collaborative creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realist influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, made and supervised within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and a unique identity for each artist.
