Beautiful Gaschan Somali shield made of bleached giraffe leather. It dates to the Italian colonial war in Ethiopia from 1935-40. Very durable and lightweight giraffe leather, with circular geometric designs impressed on the front and raised at the center, and with a large support handle with designs on the inside. Dimensions: diameter 34 cm, height 9 cm. Weight: 776 g. Difficult to find in such very good and pristine condition, as if it had never been used. See photos that are part of the description. It will be carefully packaged and shipped with trackable delivery.

Bellissimo scudo Gaschan somalo in pelle di giraffa, sbiancato. Risale alla guerra coloniale italiana in Etiopia del 1935-40.  Materiale cuoio di giraffa molto resistente e legggero, con disegni geometrici circolari impressi sul fronte davanti e rialzato al centro, e con grande maniglia di sostegno con disegni all'interno. Dimensioni: diametro cm. 34  altezza cm. 9. Peso gr. 776
Difficile da trovare in condizioni così molto buone e perfette, che sembra non essere mai stato usato.
