It is a very rare collector's watch
The LM models are equally impressive and
worthy additions to any collection. Seiko has positioned the Lord Matic as a flagship model, just below the GS and KS, and the build quality and attention to detail more than justify this decision. This 1968 example houses the 5606 movement, manufactured by Suwa. Featuring 25 functional jewels, this movement operates with silky smoothness at 21,600 beats per hour, offers manual and automatic winding options, independent quick-set day and date, and a seconds stop function. The surrounding design is equally impressive. The case is a monocoque style, perfectly exemplifying Tanaka's "Grammar of Design" architecture.
