Description from the seller
"Central Park Pop Parade" – Limited Edition (100 copies)
Edition number: 04/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
Art paper 300 g – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included
“Central Park Pop Parade” captures the spirit of contemporary pop-street art: humor, revisited icons and mastered cultural clashes.
In this quirky scene, SKE propels Gaston Lagaffe, the emblematic character of Franco-Belgian comics, into the heart of New York. I LOVE NY hoodie, Starbucks bag in hand, relaxed expression… and above all: an incredible pack of balloon dogs in Koons style, leashed in front of Central Park’s sign.
The artwork blends pop references, vibrant colors and street textures in a lively, modern, instantly recognizable style.
A bold mashup of nostalgia, mockery and urban culture, typical of the SKE universe.
Features:
• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Print on premium art paper 300 g
• ISO A3 format, easy to frame
• Each copy signed and numbered by SKE
• Delivered with certificate of authenticity
• Shipped with protective packaging, reinforced wrapping
“Central Park Pop Parade” is a vibrant and joyful piece, designed for collectors who love pop art, revisited comics and artworks that tell a story.
A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a centerpiece of your collection.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and versatile creator who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencils, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, marry the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as the "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he has also been featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his position in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, bolstering the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and textural play define a style that is now indispensable.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Acclaimed & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line conveys the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to distort the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Great Wave off Kanagawa or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic reminiscent of Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA
Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY
In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with the codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also features automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s a vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
