Description from the seller
"6.2 Million Snack" – Limited Edition (100 copies) - New collection 2026
Edition number: 04/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
300 g fine art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included
In this work, SKE reinterprets one of the most commented episodes of the contemporary art market: a banana taped to the wall (comedian), auctioned for over 6 million euros, by artist Maurizio Cattelan.
Here, Gaston does not look at the artwork. He eats it. Quietly. The price tag still dangles, but the concept has already been digested. The gesture is simple, almost naïve, and yet radical.
With this ironic wink, SKE questions value, storytelling and the sometimes-accepted absurdity of the art market. When the object disappears, what remains? The idea, the myth… or simply a very expensive anecdote.
Pop style, street energy, projections and splashes place the scene in SKE’s universe: accessible, funny, but deliberately critical.
A work that makes you smile as much as it questions, and that reminds us that in contemporary art, everything is a matter of context… and appetite.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a multidisciplinary background who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. He won the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then was voted Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October, and also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place in the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE also makes a mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the past two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play define a style that is now essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with growing value.
Listed & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to reinterpret the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or the deconstructed forms of Picasso to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the mythical Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the style of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes resembles Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes that evoke the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your home.
