About the artist
Billy Gee is a street artist based in Athens, whose work is deeply rooted in graffiti culture and the raw energy of the street.
Coming from a key generation that helped structure the Athens contemporary street art scene, he develops a practice located at the crossroads of graffiti, realism and urban expression.
A former skater, he grew up at the heart of street culture, where skate, music and graffiti formed a natural creative ecosystem. His travels across Europe enriched his visual language and reinforced his place on the international scene.
Trained in graphic arts and realistic design, his work is distinguished by dynamic compositions, vibrant color palettes and a high level of detail. His graffiti heritage remains central: movement, spontaneity and visual impact shape his approach.
In parallel, he has collaborated with magazines focused on skateboarding and held a column for Athens Voice, affirming his presence in contemporary urban culture.
Solo exhibitions:
Life Extension, Alibi Art Gallery (Athens, 2021)
I Put Myself on Display, Maquis-Art Gallery (2018–2019)
Group exhibitions and fairs:
Art Athina
Roma Arte in Nuvola
Expo Mister Freeze
Exhibitions in Paris, Néocratia
Auction sales, notably with Cornette de Saint Cyr, Rossini
His works have also been showcased in major cultural institutions in Athens, such as Technopolis and the Onassis Cultural Centre.
A singular work at the crossroads of contemporary art and skate culture, created directly on a skateboard deck.
It embodies both an artistic object and a strong symbol of urban culture.
A relevant piece for collectors of urban art, unconventional supports and unique works.
