AMA • Pope (1985) presents “Aurora NotArt”, a resin sculpture in argent colour, 20 cm high, 9 cm wide and 9 cm deep, edition 4/20, hand-signed, dated 2025 and produced by AMA in France.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora NotArt" - 4/20
When art dissolves into business.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Original Fake, Aurora Authentic Fake, Aurora Get Rich… AMA continues its ironic exploration of luxury codes, perceived value, and the slogans that govern our era.
“Aurora NotArt” – Not Art, Only Business condense the era into three simple, almost cynical words, engraved like an advertising truth… and yet transformed into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic object, at the border of a manifesto.
On the base, the message is blunt:
NOT ART.
And just after, without useless poetry, the sentence completes itself:
ONLY / BUSINESS.
A cold, assured statement.
A punchline that sounds like the rule of the modern game: this is not art… it’s business.
The day: a mirrored, brilliant, almost clinical icon.
The night: an aurora borealis of reflections and glints, immersive, fascinating, almost “too beautiful” to be innocent.
A deliberate contrast: the spectacle on one side, the truth on the other.
Edition limited to 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with AMA authentication certificate.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced cardboard) with signature on delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fade transitions, simple transitions)
- Power via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Who is AMA?
Born from the fusion of talents of French artist friends, the AMA collective takes you into its universe blending vibrant colors and varied materials.
Sculptures, paintings and installations, the collective passionately uses a multitude of techniques to give life to its works.
The AMA collective mainly draws inspiration from the world around it but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether as a gift, a keepsake or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA pursues its urban street art and pop art passion (limited or not) addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion industry products (sport, sneakers…),
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman…), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck…), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, any unwarranted claim will not be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
