Important and rare pair of bronze vases with lids, dark patina, Greek-Roman style.

Finely chased decoration; it almost looks like a lost-wax casting!

Ivy leaves and tendrils – the quality is evident (Barye, Mène or Barbedienne) – unsigned. Handles finely carved. The knobs are shaped like leaf finials.

A splendid, lustrous patina that delicately enhances the details.
