Description from the seller
An expressive work, executed in acrylic on wood, that captivates with its visual strength and material richness. The leopard emerges with an almost totemic intensity, heightened by the irregular surface of the support and the golden background, vibrant with light and texture.
The face is constructed through a dynamic and layered pictorial language: graphic marks and color fields intertwine in a balance between figuration and abstraction. The warm tones — red, ochre and earth — dialog with accents of green and turquoise, giving depth and movement to the image.
On a symbolic level, the leopard represents inner strength, autonomy and elegance. Its gaze, intense and slightly introspective, suggests a silent awareness. The colors amplify this meaning: red evokes energy and vitality, while green evokes harmony and connection with nature, creating an image charged with tension and balance.
The artist after graduating from the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts moved to Italy where she works as an illustrator and painter. In her life, besides exhibiting in Moscow, she has become known in Germany, Munich (Open'17 and Open'23), in Italy at the University of Messina, at the Russian House in Rome, in Ormea. She has worked in Venice in an art studio studying contemporary graphics techniques and in Munich in the silkscreen studio "Silberfabrik". She works using various graphic and painting techniques, also digital.
