Description from the seller
MiLo – “Unseen Identity”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
In Unseen Identity, layered black and white gestures form a face that appears both present and partially concealed. The figure emerges through horizontal strokes and shifting textures, while vertical interruptions disrupt and redefine the image.
The composition moves between clarity and abstraction, revealing fragments of a portrait without fully resolving it. Through overlapping layers and subtle variations in surface, the work suggests an identity that is sensed rather than fully seen.
MiLo explores the tension between presence and absence, where the image exists in a state of continuous transformation.
The artwork will be carefully rolled and securely shipped in a sturdy cardboard box or protective shipping tube.
