W.J. Heikens (XX) - Object still life

A classical still life depicting a large green glass bottle covered with a woven net, a smaller yellow bottle, a copper pot and two apples on a light blue, checkered surface. The artist's identity can be assumed based on the signature ("WH") in the lower left corner of the work, although further expert examination is required for accurate identification.
The style and subject matter of the painting show similarities to the work of several European artists:
Style and technique: The painting is an oil painting, where the play of light and shadow was emphasized in the shine of the copper pot and the transparency of the glass.

The artist signed and dated the work on the back of the painting.
