Biography
Mel Ramos (1935–2018) is considered one of the most significant American Pop Art artists. He became renowned for his humorous and provocative depictions of pin-up girls, often paired with brand products such as chocolate, cigarettes or beverages. Ramos studied art at Sacramento State College in California and was closely associated with the giants of Pop Art, such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Tom Wesselmann. His works blend consumer critique with erotic imagery and are today represented in major museums as well as international private collections. In the art market, Ramos’s paintings and graphics attract high attention, particularly his limited screen prints and lithographs, which appeal to a broad collector audience.

The print has always been stored flat and is only briefly rolled for transport.
