XTC, Caviar x Mc Do, 2026, edition 3/4 E.A., signed by hand, materials steel, plastic and paper, dimensions 19 × 10 × 16 cm (W × H × D), France, Excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Caviar box and a torn McDonald’s label done in trompe l'oeil by XTC.
This is a genuine 1000g caviar box (it has been used and therefore shows some signs of normal wear), painted (not a sticker) and varnished, and of course with fake caviar!
The work is presented on a 10 mm thick black Plexiglas base for a glossy, flawless finish.
Signed and numbered on the base, 8 + 4EA, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. (The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo.)
Careful and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the center of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has turned into a passion that was meant to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption, which he makes clash with the world of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the already thin boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of plastics and sometimes minerals.
