Magnificent specimen of a shield from the Wandalà tribe originating in Cameroon, with the characteristic bell-shaped form (glagwa), an old model made from buffalo or hippopotamus skin (presence of animal fur on certain parts of the shield), characteristic relief motifs formed by cross and oblique grooves, all highlighted with red ochre pigments, some alterations on the outer edges without affecting aesthetics, handle made of braided leather straps.
