Elisa Brindani - Coralli #2

In this painting I wanted to fuse more traditional painting with informal and material painting and to experiment with materials like epoxy resin, with which I aimed to imagine a kind of wave that envelops the face, painted with traditional oil colors. In this glossy wave I inserted crystals and small pearls to recall the texture of coral. The female figure is thus suspended in an atmosphere with no reference to place or time, and opens up to many different interpretations. The background of the canvas remains opaque to give prominence to the very glossy resin pour. The canvas measures 75x55 cm, is ready to hang, and is shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
