Description from the seller
- Limited edition of the work "Pink Street Royalty" by the artist SKE
- Publisher: Atelier MONTMARTRE FineArt.
- FineArt print on museum-quality Hahnemühle art paper.
- ISO A3 format (42x29.7 cm) easy to frame.
- Edition number: 01/10
With Pink Street Royalty, SKE revisits a timeless pop culture icon, propelling it into a contemporary street universe, saturated with references to the 90s and to New York urban aesthetics.
With a screwed-on cap, Air Jordan Off-White on the feet and an unapologetic attitude, the pink panther becomes a true symbol of style and cool attitude. The artist plays with the codes of graffiti, comic book, and sneaker culture to create an explosive composition, both nostalgic and resolutely modern.
Bold colors, graphic textures, and typographic elements recall urban posters and the raw energy of city walls, while references to luxury and streetwear reinforce the work’s visual impact.
SKE thus transforms a cult character into a true street icon, between generational homage and contemporary artistic statement.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and a versatile creator who grew up immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October; he also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place in the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture plays characterize a style that has become essential.
SKE is, without a doubt, an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Awarded & Ranked Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line work carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge the eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to appropriate da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to juxtapose them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and manga is pervasive: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXE, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes sometimes echoing the glossy surface of a Jeff Koons piece or the facets of a Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
