Bram van Velde studied at the painting and decoration workshop Van Schaijk. Lives and works in France

Bram van Velde moved to Germany and settled in the artists' colony Worpswede. Here, in addition to a number of paintings in an expressionist style, he created his first lithograph—a self-portrait. It appeared in a publication by the artists' colony in an edition of 500 copies. In 1924 he left with his brother Gerard for Paris. Paris was truly Bram van Velde's school of apprenticeship.
