Antique French carriage clock with a solid brass case and gilded finish, 8-day mechanical movement, five facet-cut glass panels, white enamel dial with blue-steel hands, circa 1880–1900, measuring 8×5×4.5 cm and weighing 370 g, in good condition with minor patina and functioning timekeeping.

Antique French Travel Clock (Carriage Clock) – circa 1890
Description:
Beautiful classical French travel clock, also known as "Officer" or "Carriage Clock", dating from the end of the 19th century. This type of clock was originally designed to be robust enough for travel by coach, while maintaining the elegance of an interior piece.
Specifications:
- Case: Solid brass case with a beautiful gold-colored sheen. The case is equipped with the characteristic handle on the top.
- Glass: Equipped with five facet-cut panes (front, back, sides and top), allowing the ticking escapement to be beautifully visible.
- Dial: white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and fine minute track. Blued steel hands. A small crack at the bottom of the dial and a slight discoloration at the bottom of the dial.
- Movement: French 8-day going movement.
- Dating: Circa 1880 - 1900.
Condition:
- Visual: In good condition with light signs of aging (patina) on the brass, which emphasizes authenticity. The enamel of the dial has a small crack and the lower edge has a yellow discoloration.
- Mechanical: The movement runs properly and the winding key is present.
