Elegant floor-standing coat rack in patinated brass – Liberty style / Art Nouveau – early 20th century
patinated brass floor-standing coat rack, attributable to the Liberty style (Art Nouveau) and datable to the early decades of the 20th century.
The item stands out for its slender line and the elegance of its forms, with a central fluted shaft and a finely decorated summit. The upper arms, sinuous and harmonious, recall vegetal motifs typical of the Liberty period, conveying great movement and visual lightness.
The base, wide and well-proportioned, is richly adorned with raised floral and foliate motifs, crafted with care and attention to detail, while ensuring excellent stability.
The warm patina of the brass, aged over time, gives the whole piece an authentic appearance with strong decorative charm.
