Description from the seller

Christ on silver – Late 18th century – Europe

Christ in silver (tested), a good-quality cast. The body is treated with marked naturalism: anatomical torso with a wound on the side, head slung over the chest, wavy hair. The large knotted loincloth presents a dynamic drapery, typical of continental workshops of this period.

Excellent overall condition, original mounts visible (hands and feet). Polished surface, slight signs of wear, no significant dents.

The photos are an integral part of the object's description and complete its presentation. They allow appreciation of its condition and features. Please examine them carefully before any commitment.

The item will be carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number, to ensure fast and safe delivery.

Seller's Story

Now browse and search through my auctions to find the unexpected! Over the last 40 years, I have been collecting silver Works of Art. Carefully selecting every single piece that speaks for its rarity, provenance, historical significance, excellent craftsmanship, functional peculiarity and harmonious proportions... Time has now come to release them back into the market, so that new generations of demanding collectors and individuals that - just like me - love to surround themselves with items with character can enjoy them as much as I did. I photograph them honestly and describe them to the best of my knowledge. Good luck to your bids!!!
