Description from the seller
Exceptionally signed copy on the title page with silver-colored handwriting by Raymond Depardon (born 1942), unique and unavailable on the internet in a signed copy and almost unavailable in an unsigned copy. 40 pages and 30 black-and-white photographs, texts in French by Raymond Depardon. Softcover illustrated in gray color (no dust jacket as issued). Book in excellent condition, practically like new.
The first book by Raymond Depardon for Éditions Arfuyen, Notes, was unique of its kind, the result of the meeting of two very different worlds: poetry publishing and photojournalism. Their joint project aimed to invent a new form, breaking with the style of glossy photo albums, then in vogue. It was a great success.
Publisher's note: “Notes appeared in 1979. In agreement with Depardon, we decided to renew the experience.” In an instant, / we think of images / suddenly, without knowing why / thought escapes us / there is only the light” (Hivers). The photographs published here were taken during reports in China and in France, as well as during a trip to Poland.” Hivers was conceived and produced by Philippe Delarbre and Gérard Pfister for Éditions Arfuyen. Agnès Sire, for Magnum Photos, supervised the preparation.
Book from my personal collection, in excellent condition practically like new, kept with the utmost care. Shipping protected very efficiently and international postal tracking guaranteed. In case of multiple purchases, there is a possibility of grouped shipping with refund of overpaid postage via Paypal.
