Description from the seller
Antique Swiss pocket watch from around 1900.
The watch features a classic enamel dial with Roman numerals and a small seconds dial at 6 o'clock. The original delicate hands suit the historical character of the watch very well.
The case is made of solid silver and is hallmarked 0.800. Both the inner dust cover and the outer cover are also made of silver. The case shows age-related signs of wear and patina, but is overall in good, authentic condition.
The movement is a mechanical Swiss anchor movement with 15 jewels, Breguet balance spring, and classic regulation (Avance / Retard). The movement is cleanly preserved and the watch is currently in running condition. However, exact timekeeping accuracy has not been tested with a timegrapher, so no warranty on rate values is given.
Features:
• Swiss mechanical pocket watch movement
• Anchor escapement (Ancre)
• 15 jewels
• Breguet overcoil balance spring
• Enamel dial with Roman numerals
• Small seconds at 6 o'clock
• Solid silver case (hallmarks 0.800)
• Circa 1900
The watch is a beautiful example of a classic Swiss pocket watch from the transitional period between the 19th and 20th centuries and is suitable for both collectors and enthusiasts of historic watches.
Carefully and securely packed for shipping.
