Figure - Spelter

A good size cast metal figure of a male Olympian athlete, standing circa 43,5cm tall and weighing 2905g, his right arm held forwards and holding a laurel wreath in a gesture of victory.
These types of statues celebrating the classical male physique were popular in Europe in the 1930s around the time leading up to the 1936 Berlin Olympic games.

Condition: Very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minor wear and discoloration of the patina commensurate with age.
