Days I remember is a limited edition softcover book by Herbie Yamaguchi, signed by the author, in English and Japanese, with 48 pages and a bound-in baryta-photograph limited to 2/30, also signed.
Description from the seller
Limited edition book of 1000 copies by Herbi Yamauchi. I also attach a photograph printed on salted paper limited (2/30) also signed by the author. The book is like new; it has 46 images.
According to the author’s words: "Regardless of circumstances, there are moments when a scene I capture unexpectedly makes my heart race. These scenes appear suddenly in various everyday situations: on the street, through the car window, at home, or during a class. They possess a force that fills me with optimism, resonates with me, and draws me in. However, they vanish in an instant, swept away by the wind, and never reappear. In my case, when I capture these moments in photographs, I store the positive energy emanating from the subjects of the images, hoping that these photographs resonate with time in the hearts of others and that society and people become a little more optimistic.
Each artist has their own themes and methods, and the needs of the audience are also diverse; that's why some create scenes through imagination and staging, others capture real scenes from their surroundings, others combine reality and staging, or even deliberately express negative aspects. In any case, each artist approaches their subject using the method they prefer and in which they stand out."
