Kai Clements (aka Kai & Sunny), born in 1975, is a UK-based artist. He studied at Epsom School of Art in Surrey, where he earned a high distinction in Art and Design.

The works of Kai & Sunny are characterized by vibrant color palettes, fluid movements and meticulously superimposed compositions. Executed in acrylic on linen and pen on archival paper, each piece is immediately recognizable and reveals a subtle balance between precision and spontaneity, giving Kai’s practice a unique visual signature.

The name Kai & Sunny carries a strong ethos of collaboration with other artists, emphasizing the collective. This approach unites talents around the idea of “unity” and allows the artist to continually evolve and flourish.

Thanks to their membership in the collective, Kai Clements (Kai & Sunny) has collaborated with Tiffany & Co, on musical projects with Toydrum (soundtrack to Slow Horses) and on narrative projects with author David Mitchell (Cloud Atlas). Collaborating with artists and exploring different domains of innovation and expression enriches the unique working process to which Kai attaches great importance.

Kai & Sunny have exhibited worldwide, notably in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Hong Kong, Paris and London, and their works have been shown at the Haunch of Venison institute. Their works are in the Victoria and Albert Museum’s print collection.
