Description from the seller
Michael Fantozzi is an international artist and the original creator of the sarcastic clay fish that are taking the world by storm.
From his celebrated artistic research arises now “Little Light Forest,” a new series of LED-lit works: unique sculptures that blend craftsmanship, light, and visual poetry. Each piece is handcrafted entirely by hand without the use of molds, making every creation unreproducible.
Made with high-quality materials—from clay to acrylics, up to the zircons that give light and preciousness—the works by Michael Fantozzi are today sold and collected worldwide.
Each work is titled, numbered, and signed, and comes with its corresponding certificate of authenticity. It is provided complete with a frame with plexiglass and is ready to be hung. Shipping is done with protective packaging to ensure maximum security during transport.
Large-format works have been exhibited at the Milan Biennale, the Rome Biennale, the Florence Biennale, and numerous shows across Europe.
The artist has also been awarded in Montecitorio as Italian Excellence Abroad, a recognition that testifies to the international impact of his work.
His creations carry a powerful and timely message about pollution, particularly marine pollution. Through his fish decorated with symbolic objects such as cigarettes, chewing gum, bottles, and musical instruments, the artist gives a voice to marine animals, silent victims of human impact. The visual language is ironic, provocative, and deeply reflective, inviting urgent and necessary awareness.
