Description from the seller
Michael Fantozzi is an international artist and the original creator of the sarcastic clay fish that are conquering the world.
From his renowned artistic research now comes “Little Light Forest,” a new series of LED-lit works: unique sculptures that merge craftsmanship, light, and visual poetry. Each piece is handcrafted entirely by hand without the use of molds, making every creation one-of-a-kind.
Made with high-quality materials—from clay to acrylics, up to the zircons that give light and preciousness—Michael Fantozzi’s works are today sold and collected worldwide. Each work is titled, numbered and signed, and comes with its certificate of authenticity. It is supplied complete with a frame with plexiglass and is ready to be hung. Shipping is carried out with protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
Large-format works have been exhibited at the Milan Biennale, the Rome Biennale, the Florence Biennale, and in numerous exhibitions across Europe. The artist has also been awarded at Montecitorio as Italian Excellence Abroad, a recognition that testifies to the international impact of his work.
His creations carry a powerful and timely message about pollution, particularly marine pollution. Through his fish decorated with symbolic objects such as cigarettes, chewing gum, bottles, and musical instruments, the artist gives a voice to marine animals, silent victims of human impact. The visual language is ironic, provocative, and deeply reflective, inviting urgent and necessary awareness.
