Description:
The Japanese giant Denon has just unveiled its new network player, the DNP-2000NE, a high-quality product that makes flexibility its main weapon, accompanied by a top-tier build quality and engineering that only a brand like Denon can afford to implement, despite the price range it will occupy.
A wide range of connectivity options and a structurally sophisticated technical concept push this new network player upward and make it competitive with fierce rivals, even though it sits in a higher price bracket.
With the DNP-2000NE network audio player, Denon aims to change the rules of the game, offering a state-of-the-art music player that, in addition to excellent sound quality, provides versatile connectivity and top-tier construction, usable both as a complement to the brand’s NE line and as an integral part of any hi-fi setup of some importance.
The audio quality of playback is guaranteed by Denon’s Advanced AL32 Processing Plus system, which enables upsampling to 384 kHz and intelligent 32-bit resolution expansion for all played files, for a more accurate reconstruction of the musical signal and thus a playback as faithful as possible to the original sound.
The beating heart of the player is the four precise 32-bit/384 kHz digital-to-analog converters, used in dual differential mode just as they are used by the company’s flagship, the DCD-A110 CD player, all perfectly synchronized by the master clock design for a playback that is as natural and as little digital as possible.
Additionally, the analog and digital circuits of the DNP-2000NE are isolated from each other to protect the analog circuits from interference and noise from the digital section.
The DNP-2000NE offers a variety of connectivity options, including Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, and AirPlay 2 for direct wireless music streaming from Apple devices. The device also features an HDMI ARC port, two optical digital inputs, a coaxial digital input, and a USB-B input for streaming music directly from a computer, allowing native DSD256 resolution.
Like its predecessors, this player also features the long-tested and guaranteed HEOS Built-in technology, the brand’s proprietary wireless technology that lets users stream music wirelessly from services like Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, and others, while the HEOS app also allows you to manage your local music library, create playlists, or share music with other HEOS-enabled devices such as Denon Home Wireless speakers.
As seen, one of the biggest novelties present on the DNP-2000NE is the inclusion of an HDMI ARC port through which TV audio can be transmitted directly to the Hi‑Fi system. In addition, HDMI CEC is supported, allowing control of compatible Denon amplifiers or the DNP-2000NE's variable output via the TV’s remote control.
