Vanessa Mitrani - Vase - DOUBLE RING - Glass, Steel

A vase by designer Vanessa Mitrani, whose original design dates from 2013. It is emblematic of her work on the constraint of glass, blown into a metal structure, and carried by a blend of materials.
Here, the transparency, the roundness and the fragility of the glass form a powerful contrast with the thickness, opacity, and hardness of the metal.
The vase is mouth-blown inside a chromium steel structure, from which it spurts and from which its shape is born. The color is a very lively and striking duck blue.
Vanessa Mitrani is distributed worldwide by prestigious retailers such as Roche Bobois, Lane Crawford, Bergdorf Goodman or Cassina.
Some of her creations are part of the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
The pieces are crafted in close collaboration with artisans, and are assembled in her workshop in Pantin, just outside Paris where she designs all her collections.
