Description from the seller
Exceptionally signed first edition page by Sebastião Salgado (1944 – 2025), unique and untraceable on the internet as a signed copy. 100 pages and around a hundred black-and-white photographs, most printed full-page or double-page spreads for some, captions of the photographs at the end of the book. Illustrated soft cover.
This book illustrating the universe of the French railways was produced at the initiative of the Central Works Council and it documents the activity of the different trades through images, from machinists, drivers or ticket office employees, etc. It is with great photographic virtuosity that Salgado highlights the work and the individuality of each of the men and women, the railway workers, who most often disappear behind the SNCF acronym;
Copy in generally good condition with, however, a ding on the top of the spine (see photo). A book from my personal collection, in excellent condition, kept with the greatest care. Protected shipping with reinforced packaging and guaranteed international trackable postage. In case of multiple purchases, possible grouped shipping with refund of any excess postage paid via PayPal.
