Description from the seller
The artist Giuliano Grittini (Corbetta, 1951) is an Italian photographer, art printer, and visual artist known for inventing the technique of the "Cracker Art." This special technique involves using precious materials (such as gold and silver leaf) and direct manual interventions by the author on prints or photographs. The image is "crumpled" or deconstructed and then reassembled, often with the addition of inscriptions, glitter, and varnish, making each piece unique, unlike the serial productions typical of pop art. In this artwork he portrays the portrait of actress Marilyn Monroe, a recurring muse in Warhol's output from the late ’50s to the ’60s, with a mixed technique that incorporates photographic elements, text, and an aged, weathered appearance—"Cracker Art" that simulates a torn poster or a paper collage. Signed at the bottom and with a back-side inscription: "Opera mia Autentica". The lot will be carefully packed and shipped with contracted couriers. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not made.
