We are pleased to present to you this exceptional and absolutely original piece of furniture by Carlo Bugatti from around 1900.
The exotically shaped forms evoke both Oriental and European architectural motifs. Even at the time of its creation, Bugatti's designs were considered provocative and represented a conscious counter-design to the ideals of technology and industrial production propagated at world expositions.
The table impresses with its extraordinary variety of materials and artistic execution. It consists of different woods, complemented by metal and leg inlays as well as copper and brass fittings. The decorative inlays and the tabletop of hammered copper emphasize the exquisite craftsmanship.
Original works by Carlo Bugatti are rare works of art—accordingly highly valued and sought after.
