Bruno Cantais, professional painter based in Lyon, is registered as a contributor to the Maison des Artistes.
Born in 1966 in Le Havre.
Bruno Cantais explores several techniques, ranging from the abstract expressionism of Rauschenberg, to material projections, to Pop Art collage, or to expressionism.
He probes the surface of the canvas, digging grooves that seem to open paths or sometimes drift in the mist of color. His inspiration is order and disorder, of what is felt and what is perceived, of shadow and light, of emptiness and fullness.
