Santicri was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 by Artmayeur, one of the most renowned platforms in the art world. A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The teddy bear, a symbol of affection and protection, retains its shape but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or to experience lightly.

The surface completely changes the perception of the work. What from a distance appears familiar, up close becomes more distant, almost inaccessible. This creates a direct contrast between what we know and what we see.

The work plays precisely on this tension: on one hand it attracts, on the other it keeps at a distance. In this way, a childhood image is reread in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring.

Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist pursued a path that, between studies in surveying and architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture artisan. There arose the ever-stronger need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold all over the world, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe.
