Small and precious travel alarm clock (nicknamed the Officialina) that seeks an expert hobbyist to bring it back to life.
A wonderful small antique mechanical clock, crafted in a brass case with glass side panels, which was used in the 19th century as a travel or desk clock.
The clock features an enamel dial with Arabic numerals and has a mechanical movement visible through the sides. The top has a folding carrying handle; at the rear a hinged lid with beveled edges closes the mechanical part; beneath the base there is the housing for the bell.
Main missing parts:
- hour, minute, and alarm hands
- glass for the side faces
- alarm bell
- enamel dial chipped at the upper left corner
Perceived damage:
- Mechanism in need of restoration
The object, as is clear from the photos and description, is offered only to an expert and competent collector who is willing to undertake a functional restoration. Nevertheless it remains an object of evident historical value and style which, if well restored, has a market value exceeding €1500.
