Description from the seller
Magnificent salver in Portuguese silver, contrasted with Águia (1938–1984), with a fineness of 833 thousandths.
A large piece with a broadly worked relief-recessed rim, presenting exuberant decoration of volutes, shell motifs and vegetal motifs — hallmark characteristics of the Baroque/Rocaille style.
The smooth center creates an elegant contrast with the surrounding ornamentation, making this salver ideal for both serving and as a decorative centerpiece.
Given its size and weight, it is an imposing piece, perfect for classic tables, sideboards, or collectors of Portuguese silver.
Shows normal signs of use and natural patina, consistent with its age, which reinforces its authenticity.
Approximate weight: 507 g
