Sewing box - .800 silver

Sewing box including a silver die, a silver needle case, a punch or sewing awl with a silver handle, and a pair of scissors in silvered steel. All silver elements are stamped with the boar head, known as the hure de sanglier, corresponding to a fineness of 800‰. This sewing set was made during the first half of the 20th century, circa 1940.

The decoration is Art Deco with an influence of the Louis XVI style. The whole piece is finely hand-engraved.
