Two porcelain Rococo-style figures in blue and white, depicting a galant couple, about 28 cm high, 10 cm wide and 10 cm deep, likely produced in Germany between 1880 and 1900, in excellent condition with minimal signs of age.
Description from the seller
Pair of 19th-century porcelain figures – blue/white – Rococo style – approx. 28 cm
Description:
Elegant pair of porcelain figures depicting a gallant couple in 18th-century (Rococo) attire. The man wears breeches and a coat with a bow, the lady a richly draped gown and holds a bird in her hand.
Executed in a refined blue-and-white color scheme, clearly inspired by Delftware, but probably produced in Germany (Thuringia) or elsewhere in Europe in the 19th century.
The figures stand on round plinths and display fine detailing in faces, clothing and posture. Decorative and highly collectible.
Condition:
In excellent antique condition.
No visible cracks or restorations.
