Wall mirror - Wood - Art Deco gilded mirror

Rectangular mirror in Napoleon III style featuring a finely carved and gilded wooden frame.

The upper pediment is adorned with a motif of foliate scrollwork and rocaille of great elegance, typical of the decorative taste of the Second Empire.

The solid, gilded and copper-toned wooden frame consists of scrolls, acanthus leaves, volutes, and a pierced central ornament.

At the back, three rings are placed to thread a cord through to hang it on a wall.

Given its age, this mirror is in good condition; it has been renovated, however you can see some spots on the glass and the parquetry is damaged (see photos), all of this is a sign of authenticity.

This mirror, through its sculptural work and the harmony of its proportions, perfectly embodies the decorative taste of the 20th century. Placed inside your classic, baroque, or bourgeois home, it will be a centerpiece and will bring a lot of light.
