Antique English Bank Scale in Brass from the 19th Century
Important brass bank scale dating from the late 19th century, a splendid example of English craftsmanship of the era. A large weighing instrument, characterized by a solid and harmonious structure, entirely realized in brass with evident signs of time that attest to its authenticity.
The scale consists of a central upright with a crossbar ending at the ends with decorative circular elements from which hang the original chains that support the two weighing pans in brass. In the central part there is the mechanism with indicator and lower hook, a typical feature of desktop scales of the period.
