Magnificent Desert Rose. A cluster of calcium sulfate crystals and sand grains forming petals that mimic a flower. It was acquired in the Sahara in 1960. Very well cared for, with brown and orange tones. Display piece. Dimensions: 21 x 15 x 17 cm. The measurements vary depending on orientation. It rests on a bronze/brass base from the late 19th century. Figures of griffins and sinuous bodies of sea serpents with grotesque faces can be seen. Dimensions: 29 x 20 x 4. Inner opening: 10 cm.
