Set of two antique gilded wood console tables in Louis XV style, dating to the second and third quarters of the 18th century, with Bianca Carrara marble tops and originating from France.
Description from the seller
Set of two gilded wooden console tables that are later crème-colored and polychromed. Bianca Carrara marble tops with contoured edges and a ‘capped’ back. Supported by a rocaille-form central leg. The leg and friezes are adorned with finely deep-carved rocailles and shell motifs with a central cartouche. In structurally very good condition and ready to use. The paint flakes slightly; one marble piece has broken, neatly glued. France, 2nd/3rd quarter of the 18th century, ca. 1750

W = 73 cm
D = 34.5 cm
Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of construction and veneer. No active woodworm detected on 12/4/2026
