Jewellery box - Burrwood

Antique jewelry box in precious wood with burl wood inlays. Made by a cabinetmaker at the end of the 19th century. Enhanced by gilded and engraved metal medallions, the one on the lid bears the initials A B R, probably from the original owner's family. Interior lined with dark blue silk, with a matching silk cushion measuring 30.5 cm x 12.3 cm and a thickness of 6/8 mm. In excellent condition. A few small inlays are missing (see photo).
