Description from the seller

47-9 CO
Big Bang toy cannon "produced by Conestoga Co., Inc. of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in its original box.
It works using a chemical reaction between calcium carbide (Bangsite) and water to create a loud bang safely.
Produced since the early 20th century as a safe alternative to fireworks.
This is a model with a cast-iron carriage and wheels, similar to the military models introduced in the 1950s.
Highly sought after by vintage toy collectors
Still in its original box and complete with documents, very worn but legible. The 60 mm cannon is a field gun with rubber wheels and measures about 21.5 cm in total. It is made of cast iron. The cannon is in EXCELLENT condition, with no damage such as cracks, breaks or repairs. It shows no rust or corrosion. It seems to have been fired a few times and then put back in the box. The firing mechanism requires a flint (spark plug) to operate. The wheels are in good condition.
Measurements: 24 x 9 x 9 cm; Weight: 1 kg
