Antique bronze/brass mortar with two handles, probably 19th century.
Heavy, massive construction with a beautiful, natural patina. Classic conical shape with a flared rim and foot.

The mortar was originally used in the kitchen or apothecary to grind herbs and spices and is today ideally suited as a decorative collectible piece.

Good age-related condition with signs of wear (see photos).

Antiker Mörser aus Bronze/Messing mit zwei Henkeln, wohl 19. Jahrhundert.
Schwere, massive Ausführung mit schöner, gewachsener Patina. Klassische konische Form mit ausgestelltem Rand und Standfuß.

Der Mörser wurde ursprünglich in Küche oder Apotheke zum Zerkleinern von Kräutern und Gewürzen verwendet und eignet sich heute ideal als dekoratives Sammlerstück.

Guter altersbedingter Zustand mit Gebrauchsspuren (siehe Fotos).
